Hello,

I am Ryan Shook owner of Shook Motorsports. I am not much for talking about myself so I'll keep it simple. I am here to do what I do and to the support the automotive enthusiast in their pursuits of speed. I am very fond of the Mazda enthusiast community and tailor my services to all years of the Mazda Rx-7's, Rx-8's, and Miata's. However, my tuning and fabrication services are not limited to Mazda's and I do not discriminate based upon make, model or engine displacement.

Although I am located in Rockford, IL I invite all of those in the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs to utilize my services. For those that are far away I do offer vehicle transportation to and from Rockford.

I have had a speed addiction for the better part of 11 years now. It all started with an '82 Mazda RX7 and a sea of orange traffic cones somebody called "auto-cross", and has now branched into a full fledged lifestyle. I have been auto crossing consistently for nine years now. I have more than a few passes down the drag strip, and now this year I am exploring the idea of getting into Time Trials racing by first starting with a learning campaign through a season of HPDE's. I have had my hands in several 10sec Mazda Rx-7 projects and autocross competitors. My personal cars are both chronicled here on this website and I invite you to investigate their setups.

I am not here to make it big in the "tuning" or "performance" industry. What I am here to do is to help make my fellow enthusiast become faster. Whether your bug is drag racing, road racing, auto-x, or full out road rally I will make you faster and more importantly more reliable all without robbing of you of your 401k.
